Permanent Residence in Cyprus

Indefinite permanent resident status. After obtaining permanent residence, the status does not require regular renewal. Subject to the conditions of the program (maintaining investments and visiting Cyprus at least once every two years), the permit remains indefinite.

The opportunity to own a business and earn investment income. Despite the restriction on employment, a permanent resident has the right to own a company, invest in a Cypriot business, receive dividends, rental income from real estate and other types of passive income in accordance with the laws of the country.

The prospect of obtaining citizenship. Permanent residence can become the basis for subsequent naturalization in compliance with the requirements of the legislation of Cyprus, including the conditions for the duration of residence and other criteria in force at the time of application.

A favorable tax system. When acquiring Cyprus tax resident status, investors can take advantage of the local tax system, including a wide network of double taxation agreements and special tax regimes provided for by law.

Minimum physical presence requirements. Permanent residence in Cyprus is not required to maintain the status. It is enough to visit the country at least once every two years, while maintaining the investment and complying with the remaining conditions of the program.
